The seasons are turning and winter is upon us. With the cold come heretics and with the heretics come abominations.

Ashbourne, scant miles away from here has fallen to such heretics. They are sat there now, hatching their schemes and plotting to summon an army of daemons, one to let loose on our fair land. I know not the full extent of their plans, but history tells us of the blight that such fell creatures create. When they attack they show no mercy and innocents and warriors alike may be torn asunder by their savagery.

They must be stopped! Stopped before they can summon up such spirits.

I know that many who live in Tesrae are refugees yourself and have been torn from your homes. I warn you that if this threat in Ashbourne is not removed, a foul army could spring from it and attack you here, for Tesrae is too close to be left alone. It would be a cruel blow indeed that what you have worked for in your new home be taken away. It is doubly cruel when you can prevent it!

A militia is being assembled with the aim of retaking Asbourne. It will need your help. If my plea here is heard, then I ask you to assemble at Hardwick hall. Anyone able bodied enough will be trained there by Sir Edward Langford of the black order. Think of the privilege; to be fed and kept warm over the winter while being instructed by the knights of Ithron for a most righteous cause. On our victory come spring, you will be able to return home as heroes with your names praised. Then you may make ready to plant your fields and witness the start of a safer year.
