For some reason (probably just because I was drunk) I reactivated my SWG account,

Instead of skills there is now about 12 classes. Each class has identical progression as far as I can tell. You can now start as a Jedi. Jedi & Bounty hunters may have just got extra abilities which allow them to be slightly different to one another.

Seeing as you can't combine it with a combat career it seems that the crafting and entertainment community has been utterly decimated. There was no entertainers in the Bestine cantina (in fact I've never seen anyone else in it) and the galaxy wide bazaar had about a dozen pieces of body armour spread across the worlds.

Talking with a guy in my department who stayed in SWG even after the NGE (glutton for punishment) that's how it's been for months and months now. There is apparantly an unoffical pre-CU beta test knocking around from dis-assembled client code that was around on player's machines. Be interesting how long it lasts before the heavy brigade shut it down.
