Your aid is required for a quest most urgent yet nonetheless fraught with peril and danger. For those blessed virtues which I once endevoured to hold close to my heart have been wrenched from their resting place by the epitomy of villainy and depravity!

I beseech you good gentle sirs and ladies, to meet with my good person in the town of Newmarket beside the fountain, the morn of this hiring day. For I fear my heart shall quail and perish 'ere this month is out, lest what is lost is returned to me. Oh woe, woe and sorry is upon me, let the curse of ages, the terror of the night not swallow and devour me, I beg of you!
