*A chill wind blows...*

From the east, a ferocious wind blows across Derwentshire, howling from the depths of the Sharwood it sweeps across the county, carrying with upon it a veritable storm of ice, snow and hail. To those who listen carefully it is as though the wind itself speaks with a cacophony of eldritch voices, but their meaning is lost in it's terrible fury.

Mother's hurry their children indoors, shutters are closed, and slowly, the village of Exmead is encased in a picturesque blanket of pure white, smothering the little cottages, and buildings of the village in its unyielding embrace.
