Report as of Midday 7th Jan 2010
I went up to the site
The short of it is the site is “Playable with Care”
The approach roads are fine.
The car park is icy but not a complete skating rink, usable with care
The wood are very pretty, the snow has not turned to ice, therefore where is has been compacted on the main path is useable with care.
Off the path the ground is not as frozen as I had feared
The conditions will not be to everyone’s liking, it will still be possible to slipover and injury yourself.
The main advice would be to bring a change of clothing and to keep warm (Since after 20 mins your feet may well be wet and cold!)
The forecast for Derby is cold through into next week, but not a lot of snow forecast (At least until after the weekend)

Cheers Simon thats good to know
I spoke to Barry yesterday about whether or not we are running and we decided that so long as its not a deathtrap to reach the site it'll be all alright to go ahead and run
Personally it conditions don't bother me that much, so I'll be turning up whatever the weather
See you there! _________________ Chivalry Warwick

Oh, right. I thought/had heard second (or third) hand that we were going to get hammered by snow this weekend... _________________ This space to let.....
