The Credo are comprised of both willing and unwilling volunteers. It is possible to lift the influence of the Dominus spirit from them, but they must also be willing to relinquish it.

This can be performed through a mystical banishment, as one would perform against other harmful spells or ensorcelments that afflict the mind. It is likely that there is a method to free a willing supplicant, but it would take a greater length of time.

When you say "unwilling" volunteers, have you come across a method of ascertaining which is which?or was this a result of coming across an indoctrination camp (or similar)?

I'm assuming it's not as simple as just asking them.

I'm assuming unwilling volunteers are like myself. Able to keep one little part of there mind apsent from the constant demands that the credo have on its subjects.
Your looking for people who question there orders. Know right from wrong. And able to say no and stand up against the tabard.
I can assure you there are not many unwilling volunteers. But there will be some who have doubts.

So, when you say "Stand up to the tabard", am I correct in assuming that there's an influence from the tabard itself?

It's not the tabard as such. It's more the symbolism.
A grey tabard with the black eagle is nothing but material. But put it on a credo and it becomes the symbol of law and order and that symbol makes them lose there will and believe that what they do is law and justice.
That symbol on someone who isn't credo is just a tabard.
But the funny thing is if you wear the tabard and impersonate a credo it makes them sick to the stomach. As such there is no way to impersonate one without joining them. They will instantly know.
I believe to them the symbolism of grey with that eagle on becomes something like a holy symbol.

As Credo are using the Chronicle for their own disinformation purposes, why don't we produce our own 'voice of the resistance' pamphlet and issue it free, so that the people of the area can see what is going on? I am not sure what we would want to put in it as some information we may not want Credo to know that we know about them, but certainly the basics would be a good idea. How would we print, pay for and distribute it if we did it?

The Project have a problem with Credo, and in recent times contacted us by luring us out on the pretext of rescuing a village full of slaves. Once we were out there they approached us and stated they have as much a problem with Credo as we do ourselves, that they cannot deal with them by themselves, and that their gods are as against them as ours. They wish to work together on this, they expect to be betrayed at some point, they said so. I too expect to be betrayed over this, however they could come in handy. As a lowly guard deputy, at the time, I was in no way going to try and match my wits against someone going by the name of the 'Strategist'! but between us we may come up with something. I can get a message to them. I have said this in the conversation about The Project as well, in case someone misses it.

I've already had the thought and have written something. I'm just going through the proof reading now. I have already found a way to print and distribute it. I'll put it up here for a couple of days before we start mass producing and sending it out.

Are you seriously suggesting that we "team up" with Dark God followers? Are we really that desperate? Personally I'm not sure it's a great idea, but I'll leave it open for others to discuss.

I am glad something is being produced. I didn't want to put out anything we might have been keeping a secret.

I may be wrong but from time to time we have worked with them before? there some things even the Light and Dark Gods agree on. Maybe I am wrong. But if some of their's bleed and die and spare a few of ours having to do it, I would consider it, at least. However I am doing nothing off my own initiative, its up to folk further up the food order than myself.

There are some things light and dark gods agree on, but if the Dominus is neither demonic nor undead then this isn't one of those occasions. I'm also concerned that working with dark gods could seriously undermine public trust in the light churches and leave people turning to undead and demons instead because at least they weren't working with the heretics.

Interesting thought.

I had been carrying around a tabard that day before we did the experiment. Perhaps that could have something with it? Maybe the black stuff is just the left over of Dominus trying to get in there rather than being the cause? We know that the tabard if an influence. But how did it infect Chivalry?

It had also been suggested that it wasn't the tabard, so much as the symbol. The Black Eagle. We've all seen it in the sky. It had also been noted that that symbol was on all but one of the Chronicle as well.

Perhaps the dye used for the black eagle and the oil have more of a link than previously thought?

Would it show up as having a necromantic aura if that was the case though?

I honestly have no idea. Something else to investigate perhaps?

The tabards have already been investigated and nothing can be seen. But then even those with black stuff in the blood is extremely difficult it detect.

Could the symbol be some sort of conduit?
