"Well, we rescued almost all of them. Some got killed by the guards while we were trying to rescue them - the people there had got the Dwarven miner families held hostage to make the miners work! I mean, if they paid em well enough such measures wouldn't have been needed..."

*she shakes her head and coughs into a handkerchief, and uses another one to dry her tears*

"Sorry, I babble too much these days. But... we rescued at least two thirds, maybe one person out of every family died? It was terrible, but we did all we could. If Nathaniel hadn't been there.... lots more people would have died."
