And it's not really a matter of wanting to know how to saying something, more wanting to be able to actually hold a conversation with neither of us confusing the other with words we don't know.

I suppose things like "hello" and "goodbye" and "my name is.." are sort of a good start... it's generally where lessons begin.

To be honest I'm not sure if it's fixed or not, I'm not really handy that way.

Anyway... A pig, a big pig by the looks of it. Has it been butchered yet? If not I'll need to give it a dressing down first

A boar in fact, Vau has butchered it quite effectively. I'll climb up later and have a look for you, I used to help my father when he would do some odd jobs for people if the entertainment wasn't bringing in the money.
