I've posted this on the national boards too, but i know that not everyone goes on them, so....
Is anyone good at painting? I'm rubbish, else I'd do this myself, but I'd like a coat of arms painted onto a piece of fabric (which will be made fairly ragged afterward, but not ruined! Just aged).
If painting it will cost me, please let me know a rough price and then I'm sure I can sort something.
The fabric will only be A5 size at max, and it's this image.[/url] _________________ Doctor Kythara DeWinter

I've never had much luck with painting onto fabic, at least not when you need it to look good.
Barry uses a printer and prints onto a transfer that irons onto fabic. I've had some success with it, but I know that Barry's always turn out great.
Other than that you can't beat using honest material. If you can't sew, then again use an iron and a bonding material. It's easy to get a hold of and ease to use...
... which reminds me. Prop making at Easter. Anyone up for a prop making weekend? _________________

*nods* True... I may well try the sewing route, I'm just not that great at it, even with a machine. Got an iron though - where could I get those iron on transfer things? XD
I'm up for a prop making weekend - I'll help however I can ^^ _________________ Doctor Kythara DeWinter

The transfer paper you can get from Staples or PC World. You just print onto it from a normal computer printer (I think).
If you want the bonding material (material onto material type stuff) then you can pick that up from Tescos, Asda or pretty much anywhere. It's hemming material. I find that it works really well as long as the material isn't too heavy. _________________
