Lily descends the stairs from her room in the Horse and Cart, and wanders toward the bar. After ordering some food and something non-alcoholic, she settles in her customary chair near the fire, and waits.
Occasionally she coughs, shakes a little, and moves closer to the warmth of the flames.

*Rhianna strides in comfortably and takes off her robes, folding them over on her arm. She orders something from the barman at a whisper then walks over to Lily, placing her robe near the fire.*

How are you feeling? Jeff couldn't move for three days after his resurrection, although I think some of that may have just been lethargy or self-pity. It messed with his head as well.

I've ordered a pot of tea for us to share, should warm you up in no time. Jeff swears by it for the post-resurrection shivers.

Lily smiles when she sees Rhianna enter the bar, and nods at her weakly.

"I think it's really kicking in, now. Maybe it was a surge of nervous energy, but now I'm really shattered... I feel a little sick, too."

She takes a sip of her drink.

"Can't honestly say it's something that's happened to me before, though. I've already got the depression, but that was there before I died, so that's nothing new."

Lily brow furrows slightly, and pulls the cloak towards her.

"Thankyou... It's a few things. What's happened with Trevor, being treated like I know nothing... worrying about Nathaniel, and yet being too much of a coward to say anything properly. Feeling very... not left out, as such, but... It's very strange. It all flooded back. Like I was a blank page and the writing fell upon it all at once."

It's not cowardice to do the smart thing, Lily. At the moment a lot of people are doubting you. So what you have to do is show them that you're not what they think you are.

I can't understand how it feels to come back. I've been close but never gone.

But I can understand being treated like nothing. I sure felt like nothing when I left the mages. I even had to leave my home and make Derwentshire my home. Look at me now. I was made Defender of the Faith this afternoon.

There's a creature of legend called a Phoenix. I don't know how true it is, but when they die, they are just ashes, they then are reborn from them to live again.

And gee, it's in your name. I reckon it's a sign you're meant to rise again and become something great.

"I don't know why they're doubting me, though. All I've ever wanted is to help people. I've not hurt anyone. Even what I did with Wesley... yes, the General thinks I was being egotistical, but the Demonologists told me that what we did is what is keeping Sharda distracted right now. They're too busy fighting over the Bridge's position to concentrate on Elysium's weakness. So... Even if I was being egotistical which I wasn't, I would think I had a right to be, even just a little..."

She grimaced, and shifted in her seat.

"Gah, thinking about it stresses me. I don't think I want to come back again, though. And it's wonderful you're finally DOF. I think you'll do just fine."

"I'm feeling weird, Gabe..! Rhianna said something came out of me. I haven't been to speak to her yet. I'd like to get up enough strength to go and meditate for a while, and I'm sure She won't mind me catching a little rest after getting resurrected, neh?"

She looks over at Rhianna.

"Sorry... This is Gabriel of Rjensford. We've not really met much in person before, but he's taken care of me and treats me as a sister, and I treat him as a brother. He's lovely!"
