Humans do occasionally get some very odd ideas, but then, some women aren't inclined towards fighting, even among adventurers. Then you get people like the General who would much rather splat something than try talking to it, she was suggesting a cull of all elves in Ithron in the mercenary's area. Like that would help the situation at all... at least I'd get a warning so I could get my family to safety if she decided to go through with it.

*Crystal half smiles but there's not much humour in it until she flicks a foot at Vau, showering him in a thin stream of droplets*

*Vau's bafflement suddenly vanishes from his face to be replaced by a fierce twist of a smile as, using his customary incomprehension, he drifts within arms reach and flashes out an hand with surprising speed for his bulk to grab her ankle and pull her into the water...*

*Crystal's cry of surprise is abruptly cut off as she slides off the bank and under the water, to emerge a few moments later sopping wet, choking, bedraggled and her dripping hair bare. She sticks her head back under to grab her headscarf before it flows away and resurfaces, giving Vau a mock-stern look*

I feel that was a slightly excessive reaction.

*She climbs back onto the bank and wrings her headscarf out expressively, nose in the air, leaving a soggy trail across the ground and her skirt and shirt clinging damply*

I should have known that was a game you'd know how to play.

But you're not just any orc. You're not even an orc. Fine if they should be wary before they spot the holy symbol, I can't fault people for not being observant since I'm notoriously unobservant... but once they've been told they should know that you're unlikely to slaughter them all and eat their livestock.

*Vau has a sudden look of discomfort*

...*rrrrr* It like what Shara grandfather say about horse. *growl* He say most horse trained see rider as friend, and that work for kaalgrisch, but all but very special horse near I will scent... predator in uruk.
