Vau's best friend, I think I told you already. Badly. Vau and I are very good friends, still lots of places where one doesn't understand the other, but we were slowly eliminating those.

*her tone is still bland, half-smiling*

Vau is dear to me, as much so as my own family. More so compared to some of them. When he's not here, I miss him. We kept each other safe, talked about stuff, things that friends do. We got along right from when we first met, when I was serving food at a banquet he was attending. I wasn't scared of him and he liked my singing.

*Crystal shrugs again*

When I joined the mercenary guild a few months later he helped train me, taught me tactics. I helped with the language barrier. Friends.

There is a capacity for friendship you know, when you get accustomed to having people around so that their absence leaves a void. When you enjoy someone's company and thus it's uncomfortable not having them around. It may seem strange to you that so many people could think that of a foulspawn, but there's a difference between body and soul.

And Vau's soul is beautiful, such that the fact he was a foulspawn ceased to mean anything to anyone with half a brain who knew him.

Hanson is always a little vague, he doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency about him either.

However, that said: Flessa has said that he's one of the best surgeons in the guild. I trust Flessa's judgement in that so I believe that Vau has had the best treatment up to this point. But she may have some ideas in the after care...

"Templar's Arms" is the name of an establishment. I wasn't refering to arms that need collecting.
