*Crystal emerges from her tent inside the ruin, glances over at the restless half orc and sighs. She stands for a while wrapped up against the early morning chill in her thick green cloak and appears to be thinking before she goes to the well, sits down and starts to sing softly. Her gaze is apparently on the pots in the cold bucket of water by the well but she seems more nervous than she usually is about being heard to sing, though she does eventually get to a level where her voice carries across the still morning as she slowly wipes clean the crockery*

*The half-orc slowly calms down and resumes a relatively peaceful slumber until the dawn light sears his eyelids. They flicker open and he looks around bewildered at the sound until his gaze falls on the young half-elf sitting away from him. He watches her fascinated at first and then with something akin to embaressment as he realises he may be intruding on something private, but is unwilling to disturb her to make his wakefulness known. When finally she reaches a pause he speaks.*

Good morning is a greeting. In the same way that "ash burz azub izg lat" is a greeting, but is also a sentence in its own right. "good morning" is wishing someone well, hoping they have a "good morning".

It''ll come, at least dreams mean its not all lost entirely, just stored somewhere where you can't see them properly.

Is ... difficult ... *growl* feel understand when in dream but *snarl* not understand now. *rrrrr* All slip away when wake. Not even *growl* clue which way to follow.

Pain understand why not want *growl* but pain easy *rrrrr*. Feel ... loss? *snarl* not understand how. I have nothing lose. *growl* If die and not forgive by Seven then know they right not forgive *rrrrr* nothing lost if foulspawn not improve self. Have nothing that ... want to keep. *growl* Weapon and armour tool for battle, nothing more.

*Crystal goes a bit pink and doesn't answer for a few moments*

When Vau gets nightmares they were a lingering effect from his imprisonment in the Konn.

*her tone is slightly distant and clinical*

He was captured by the enemy who sought to break him so they could have him demonically possessed, first they tried normal torture, but Vau was too tough. So then they tried to show him illusions and images of death and destruction, which didn't bother him either. So they rooted around in his brain until they found the... important people in his life and showed him their deaths instead. Over and over until he didn't know what was real and what wasn't.

*she smiles crookedly*

He was quite surprised when a group of us came and set him free and still for a while wasn't entirely sure it wasn't a trick. Could be you're getting echoes of that.

If you care about someone enough then logic doesn't really come into it when it comes to seeing bad things happening to them. It's still unpleasant.

You didn't like the smell of my blood, even after the injury had been bandaged and the arm was still useable. Logically there was no need to heal it, it didn't hurt much and would be perfectly fine by morning, but you healed it without even really thinking about it. Probably because some part inside remembered I was your friend and didn't like to see me injured.

*she shrugs* Or maybe not. I'm no physician. But it's my guess.

You right *growl* was poor tactical choice. Not understand why did. *rrrrr* Not understand what mean exactly by *snarl* "friend". If like comrade in arms then *rrrrr* if die in battle then have honour. *growl* If die elsewhere, it will of Seven. If hurt then patch up to *growl* fighting efficiency, or give clean death if too badly hurt and soul at risk.

*Crystal makes a small noise of irritation in her throat and pulls a face*

It wasn't a criticism, I was reaching for examples. I once tried to save my sister from a vampire, a skeletal knight, a nightmare and assorted minor undead - without a blessed weapon. They mobbed me, as I knew they would and the nightmare wounded my leg so not only was I surrounded but I was now sitting in an ever-expanding pool of my sister's blood with nothing to do but keep fighting and pray. I got cut down and she bled to death. What I did was entirely tactically unsound, but when you love people you don't really think much before acting.

*she shrugs*

It's not really a flaw, the capacity for love is Vleybor's gift to us. If there is only logic then we abuse a god-given gift. *she grins* Besides, sometimes charging into overwhelming odds is fun.
