Post subject: Marcus staggers into Tesrae |

*His face still carries the red handprint, fading now but visible. The J shaped scar further up his cheek seems diminished by the size of the mark. His eyes are red, and the stains on his cheeks are streaked by the tears that have run down them.
His footsteps are tired, and he finds it hard to walk in a straight line down the street. His right hand still grips his sword, which is sheathed at his hip, blood crusting around the top of the scabbard.
He heads towards a nearby shrine*

*The Mormaelgil gets up from her prayers as the Knight enters. Her black robes are dirty with mud (especially around the knees) and sport a number of tears. She calmly watches his movements, giving the barest of half bows to acknowledge the Knights presence and patiently waits.*

*He nods briefly in her direction, and pauses for an instant, as if grasping for some words. He face then sets and he stumbles towards the shrine, dropping to his knees. He uncurls his left hand, and loosens his holy symbol from where it was grasped tightly.
He slumps on his knees, and for a moment looks peaceful*

*Slowly his hand unwraps from around the sword hilt, the palm still sticky with blood.
His head nods slowly down onto his chest, and he breathes slowly and deeply.
30 seconds or so pass, before he wakes suddenly, clawing at the air in front of him. He cries out in Elvish.*
"Uruviel, run.......go before the Naugrim come, go.. quickly"

*Marcus turns his head at her words. His eyes appear to come back into focus, and the fires of what he has seen fade away. He appears to understand one word in 5 of what is said after.*
"Thank you for your words. I understood little, but they sound reassuring. I have never felt this surge of emotion before. In my head, the dreams are so real, and vivid. I sometimes feel the axe fall, or the sword enter me.
In truth, I remember little of the final battle with Ar'Varok. Do you know what could have happened to me to unearth these feelings of your people?"

It touched you. I do not know when, but it was in that battle. There is powerful magics that flow through it now. I fear that we gave it the finial link.
The false king that wore that crown died yesterday. His head all but cut off by the Primate. Yet the magics of the crown and the abomination that have corrupted him walked him off the field of battle.
I believe that it is this that courses through you now.

"That makes more sense. From the flashes I remember, I came upon what I thought at the time was a Konnish Warlock. He had a reddened face and dark robes."
*He pauses a moment to take in the final question*
"How do I feel? I.....am struggling to describe it to myself. It feels as though I have every memory, every emotion from the forest coursing through me. When I try to sleep, I see the villages burning and hear the cries of pain.
