There is some information here that are supposition, and some fact. I'll try to indicate which is which.

(FACT)
- Creedo means "believe" in Axian, or "purity of faith".
- Thomas WAS the liaison to the Adventurers, but has been reported dead from battle.
- New liaison - "The Leeper", wears a golden mask and keeps his body covered.
- To talk to the leader you must use 10 words or less (this is the same as a "talk with dead" or "truth tell" spell.
- Devoted or Priests of faith are not permitted to join.
- Creedo Actively hunt Heretics and Demons - they have never been heard or hunting undead.
- The can detect soulfire
- They can detect "wrongness" - heretics or the possessed.
- They are actively recruiting people from Derwentshire to bolster their forces.
- They have been heard speaking as if they make the decisions for the Earl. (Where is the Earl?)
- The administrators in court seem unusually efficient and effective.
- There are some people missing from court, where are they and how/when did they go missing?
- Have created the "Justicar" - Judges give the power to arrest, give trial and enact punishment on the spot - There is the question that this is not legal and the guards are assisting in getting help on this.
- Linked to the Steel Autometa via Master Zane - this is where the steel has gone??

(SUPPOSITION)
- From Axir
- Justicar are targeting Dwarves
- Have been building the steel Autometa

(UNKNOWN SOURCE)
- Left over from an Axian Knightly Order?

Credo can detect and object to demonic auras, being a heretic and having no soul, they show no objection to an obvious necromantic aura. I don't know if they can detect them.

I've seen them "examine" people before, where they put a hand over the other persons chest - Zathras might be able to explain more - have they ever done that with you?

It wouldn't be difficult to set up, if not. Just a word of "I think he's been possessed" should have them checking you.

Is it definite that they would not let a devotee join? Thomas just told me (I think I was a supplicant at the time) that they had never had one and sounded like I might reluctantly get accepted if I had made a commitment that I definitely wanted to join.

The only Dwarves there were those we rescued and yourselves. This is yet another attempt to increase paranoia amongst the populace and allow more control to be ceded to Credo.

We went in the sewers under Darian. We rescued the Dwarves and Elves that were down there.

Credo are using the Chronicle to sow propaganda and misinformation. In this case trying to show The Dwarves and Elves in a bad way that the people will turn against them. And it's such a good story that even adventurers that were on that mission have taken it as a true story.
